Room Layout Review

A layout review that tells you what to move — and where

Layout is the skeleton of a room. When it's wrong, no amount of styling can save the space; when it's right, even modest furniture reads as intentional. But layout problems are the hardest to see from inside your own home.

RoomFix reviews your layout from a single photo: how the furniture is arranged, how people move through the space, and whether the room's zones are anchored or adrift.

What a layout review examines

The analysis works through the same checklist a designer uses when they walk into a room:

  • Traffic flow — are the natural walking paths clear, or does the arrangement force detours?
  • Anchoring — does the rug hold the furniture grouping together, or does everything float?
  • Orientation — is seating arranged around a focal point, or scattered toward walls?
  • Balance — is the visual weight distributed, or does one side of the room feel heavy?
  • Scale — do the pieces fit the room's proportions, or fight them?

Fixes that cost nothing

Layout fixes are the cheapest improvements in interior design — most involve moving what you already own. Pulling a sofa off the wall, rotating a seating group toward the light, or re-centering a rug can transform a room in an afternoon for free.

The report ranks each layout issue by severity so you know which move matters most, and circles it on your photo so there's no ambiguity about what to change.
